As part of the National Supported Lodgings Week Parliamentary Reception, our very own David Trotter was invited to Parliament on 10th of November to represent 3 Bridge Solution.
David was accompanied by Jay, one of our young people currently within the 3 Bridge Solution Supported Lodgings programme.
Jay gave an interview to the organisers, The National Supported Lodgings Network where he talked about his positive experience about being with his hosts.

“I recently attended an event with one of our young people, Jay, who has recently celebrated his 18th birthday. He took part in an interview with the organisers at the National Supported Lodgings Network, where he spoke openly about his positive experience living with his hosts, Peter and Max. Jay had a brilliant time on the day (the cakes definitely helped!).
This all took place as part of National Care Leavers Month. Supported Lodgings even made it into parliament last week, with several events and debates being held to mark the month. MPs discussed the support available to care-experienced young people, including recent changes like removing the local connection requirement for care leavers accessing social housing. They also highlighted ongoing issues such as the ‘care cliff’ and the importance of stronger, more consistent support for young people as they move into independence.”
